SAMBA, Jan 15: Owners of tractor trolleys and tippers led by Sarpanch Chak Salarian Vijaypur Vijay Choudhary and MC President Deepak Kumar met with SDM Vijaypur and alleged that the Mining Department is charging excess royalty.
Around 50 to 60 owners of tractor trolleys and tippers said that the District Administration Samba has decided the royalty rate of sand at Rs 250 (approximately) per trolley but Mining Department and contractors are forcefully charing Rs 1200 per trolley, which is not acceptable for them and consumers also.
After meeting, SDM Vijaypur and District Mining Officer (DMO) Samba assured to resolve the issue within days.
