LEH, July 27: In a meeting held with the Chief of Staff, Sanjay Kulkarnee, CEC LAHDC Rigzin Spalbar put up a novel idea of opening of an oxygen bar at Khardong-La top in collaboration with Army as a joint venture.
CEC stated that the objective behind the idea is to facilitate the tourists and locals in need of emergency considering the geographical height of the location. He further said that oxygen bar will prove advantageous attracting more tourists to the spot.
It was decided to establish the oxygen bar under Sadbhavana program and in this regard Spalbar directed EC Tourism Shafi Lassu to keep liaison with Army for early establishment of the oxygen bar.
