Package employees call on DC, submit memorandum

BARAMULLA, Apr 6: A delegation of PM package employees today called on Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla and apprised him about several issues being confronted by the migrant package employees working in the district besides submitted a memorandum listing demands of the employees to him.
The delegation was led by Rakesh Pandita who sought attention of the Deputy Commissioner towards the problems being faced by them in the in the district. The delegation discussed lack of basic facilities particularly of the drinking water in their transit camp. They also discussed with him the issues of package employees living at rent and urged the officer to provide them accommodation at the district headquarters till the completion of transit accommodation.
They also submitted a copy of memorandum listing demands of appointment of Nodal Officer at provincial level, increase in casual leaves, timely release of salaries etc. The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them of early redressal of their demands.
Those present in the meeting were Neetu Bali, Vijay Bhat, Rajinder Pandita, Ashish Koul, Arsh Pandita, Lukcy Raina and Anita Dhar.
