Package employees concerned over lack of facilities at Odina colony

BANDIPORA, Dec 1: The PM package employees who have been allotted quarters at Odina Bandipora Transit Camp have expressed their grave concern over lack of facilities and dillydallying tactics of the administration in redressing the grievances of these hapless employees.
In a statement issued here, today the allottees of quarters at Odina Bandipora said administration’s handling of a persistent grievance, specifically regarding the discriminatory attitude in installation of geysers in Block 26 only.
They said despite ongoing efforts, dissatisfaction has escalated as the administration has yet to provide a satisfactory resolution of the problem in view of the harsh Winter in Kashmir.
They said a recent meeting, chaired by the Secretary to Government, DMRRR, unfortunately failed to address the issues. As the grievance persist the allottees of Odina Bandipora PM Package transit camp are voicing concern regarding the administration’s management of the PM Package Project. The employees emphasized the need of equitable treatment in the implementation of essential amenities for all project participants. They urged the administration to address the issue of installation of geysers in all blocks and not on selected ones and giving a timeline by which the geysers will be installed in the remaining blocks.
The other issues raised by them pertained to water supply, railings, macadamization of road.
They said the allottees of PM Package transit camp Odina remain steadfast in their commitment to ensuring equitable treatment for all employees and their parents.
