Reiterating their demand of relocation/attachment deployment to Jammu in wake of the targeted killings and on receipt of constant threat letters from LET affiliate terrorist organisation TRF, the employees citing their personal threat perceptions and fear-psychosis and urged to the LG administration that they must not be sent back forcefully to the Valley.
The employees asserted that the LG administration has failed to ensure the safety and security of the Kashmiri Pandit employees and is instead using the bureaucratic apparatus to push them to the brink by stopping their salaries and issuing show cause notices. The employees reiterated that owing to lack of basic security apparatus and incomplete rehabilitation structure, the employees can’t go back to their respective places of posting in the Valley. Meanwhile, withholding salary of the employees for the past five months has gruesomely elevated hardships of their families in all respects whereas many employees who are suffering from life consuming diseases are finding it difficult to meet their basic and medical expenses.
The employees appealed to the LG administration to treat the matter on humanitarian grounds and show empathy to the employees who have been on roads for the past 241 days.
Employees president, Satish Raina said that various memorandums have already been submitted in the last eight months to UT administration and the dispensation at the Centre, raising the safety and security concerns of Kashmiri Pandit employees but nothing has been done in that regard. He also said that if any untoward incident happens with any of the KP employees during this period, the administration shall be made responsible for the same.
The employees will tomorrow submit the individual letters to BJP president, Ravinder Raina as the leader of the BJP unit are going to meet Home Minister, Amit Shah by the end of the week. J&K BJP unit president has already assured the protesting Kashmiri Pandit employees that their matter will be taken in Delhi and resolved in this month.
