JAMMU, July 15: PM job package employees and employees of batch 2007 & 09 lodged a strong protest here at Relief Commissioner’s office on second consecutive day to press their demand of adjustment in migrant cells of various departments in Jammu. The aggrieved employees also wanted to know from the State Government that why it has completely failed to protect employees during mob violence in Valley.
The employees who throughout the day staged a sit-in before the RC’s office alleged that when the State Government could not protect the 1800 employees during an extreme form of violence then how it is possible that they would trust on the Government to ensure their safety in near future in Valley.
Holding placards in their hands, the employees were raising slogans “we want justice, hum waps nahi jayein gey, nahi jayein gey-nahi jayein gey, hum marne nahi jayein gey, nahi jayein gey-nahi jayein gey, bring us back-bring us back, Kashmir administration hai-hai etc.” They also warned the State administration that in case their demand will not be considered within days, then they would be compelled to take extreme steps.
The protesting employees made it clear that they would prefer to leave jobs rather to go back as they had a narrow escape in the mob attack.
A number of employees with their family members from Haal transit camp who also joined the protest at RC Office. The agitating employees were listening horrifying tales of their colleagues got infuriated and vent their anger by breaking windowpanes of main entrance of the relief office.
Meanwhile, Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC also participated in the protest and supported the cause of package employees.
