Demand meeting with LG

JAMMU, Nov 3: All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (PM /Non-PM package employees) working in Valley held a peaceful demonstration in front of Raj Bhawan here, today demanding their attachment to R.C Office Jammu and release of salaries.
The employees said that their demands are continuously being unheard by authorities at the helm of affairs as oppressive joining orders and withholding of salary orders have been issued by the concerned D.D.O’s.
The employees demanded that L.G of JKUT to listen their problems on humanitarian grounds by allotting some time to meet them and listen their woes. They also urged the State of India to save the KP and other minority employees from militants in the Valley who have indulged in selective and targeted killings.
Pertinent to mention that K.P employees are on protest at Relief Commissioner’s Office, Canal Road here for last 176 days in the wake of targeted killings by militants in the Valley.
The protesting employees said that fear psychosis have gripped them after recent killings of Hindus and threat letters issued by the militant organisations in the Valley.
They said that their lives must not be compensated with transfer /promotions and accommodations as it’s their legal right under Civil Service Rules & Rehabilitation process of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
Employees said they will not return to Valley till conditions become conducive and Kashmir is declared as terror free zone. They said they are willing to perform their duties outside Valley specifically in R.C Office Jammu and other camp offices of Jammu.
Employees said that their families are facing hardships due to withholding of salaries and they appealed L.G to look into the issue on humanitarian grounds and meet them to resolve the issue of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley once for all.
Employees said that they have full faith on the Lt Governor and on the leadership of PM, Narendra Modi and hope that they will not betray them.
