KISHTWAR, Nov 14: Entire Paddar–Gulabgarh area of district Kishtwar is without power supply for the last two days.
The people of the area are facing lot of hardships in view of the power failure in the area while concerned PDD M&RE Division Kishtwar has failed to restore power supply. The water supply has also been badly hit with the power break down. The locals of the area are suffering in view of suspension of power supply while local field staff claimed that they failed to detect the fault.
Kartar Singh Rathore, a local of Paddar town told the Excelsior that entire Sub Division has been plunged into darkness since past 48 hours and despite request to the local PDD staff, the supply could not be restored till this evening. He said the annual examination of the students of the area ( winter zone) are on the cards, but authorities are least bothered. He said the matter was brought to the notice of DC Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana this afternoon, who assured action in this regard against the concerned Executive Engineer and AEE. The power supply could not be restored till this evening.
