Padder people submit charter of demands to CS

JAMMU, Mar 5: Senior National Conference leader and chairman, Pahari Development Forum (PDF), district Kishtwar, Kartar Singh Rathore, today called on Chief Secretary, BR Sharma and submitted a charter of demands of the people of Sub-Division Padder.
During the meeting with Chief Secretary, Rathore discussed various demands like opening of a Degree and ITI College, Munsiff Court, Sub-District Hospital and Tourism Development Authority at Padder. He also impressed upon to start work on Kirthal Hydro Electric Power Project and sanction of new micro project at Padder.
The NC leader also batted for restoration of extraction of Sapphire Mine in Padder to provide source of income to unemployed youths of the area and restart abandoned work on Atholi-Machail Mata road for the benefit of devotees of Machail Mata.
The PDF chairman also sought Chief Secretary’s attention towards other link roads viz Chitoo Mata, C Kaban, Gandhari, Ligri to Hakoo via Palali Sazzar Kidroo, Tata Pani Mati to Massu and Garh to Kondraon.
Alleging that ration being supplied under NFSA scheme is insufficient to cater to the need of people of far flung areas, Rathore appealed for implementation of previous order (Order No 19/FST of 1995 dated March 22, 1995 for far flung areas.
He also impressed upon the Chief Secretary to issue orders for early distribution of solar lights in the area, which have already been sanctioned. It was also appealed to ensure functioning of Grid Station at Padder.
Turning towards power, Rathore said that a 33 KV power transmission line already stands sanctioned in Padder while the people of the area are still connected with 11KV transmission line, which does not meet the requirement of the people. “So, it is requested that they be given connection with 33 KV line”, he added.
