POONCH, Nov 11: Pahari community took out a rally at Tehsil headquarters Mandi and extended gratitude to Central and UT Government for considering their demand of Schedule Tribe status.
The rally was carried out from Budha Amarnath Mandir to Jamia Masjid Chowk Mandi, in which many Pahari leaders along with hundreds of people raised slogans to extend gratitude to Government for the completion of process to grant ST status to Pahari community.
Taj Mir, Mohd Zaman, Shazia Mir, Lokesh Kumar, Yougal Kishor and other Pahari leaders said that this Government has considered their long pending demand of ST status for which the processes said to have been completed and soon it will be granted to Paharis.
They extend gratitude to Prime Minister Narindra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP UT president Ravinder Raina and all others who played a crucial role for considering and grating ST status to Pahari community.
