JAMMU, Mar 11: The Pahari students community of Rajouri-Poonch felicitated Vibodh Gupta, MLC at a function over the victory as member of J&K Legislative Council.
On the occasion, MLC honoured the outshining students of the community who have qualified various National and State examination and also some position holders. During this meeting, students discusses in detail the various problems faced by them in their day to day life. Some of the students demanded establishment of Pahari hostels near Degree College, free coaching classes for various competative examination.
Mr Gupta gave a patient hearing to the problems of the students and assured that he will do his best to discuss these issues to the concern authorities.
Gupta said the demand for grant of ST status to Pahari people is included in Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
