JAMMU, Apr 6: The Government today announced paid holidays on April 9 and 12 in the areas within the jurisdiction of Srinagar and Anantnag Lok Sabha seats respectively when the two seats will go to by-polls.
The holiday will be observed under the Negotiable Instrument Act in favour of Government employees, semi-Government employees and industrial workers, who are voters in these two Lok Sabha constituencies to facilitate them exercise their right to franchise, an official handout said.
