Pain of partition can’t be forgotten: Aseem

JAMMU, Aug 12: Aseem Gupta, J&K BJP vice- president chaired a meeting of programme “Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas” at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
J&K BJP secretary, Anju Dogra and general secretary, Mahila Morcha Neha Mahajan participated in the meeting.
Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is an Annual National Memorial Day observed on 14th August in India, commemorating the victims and sufferings of people during the 1947 partition of India.
“Partitions pains can never be forgotten. Millions of our sisters and brothers were displaced and many lost their lives due to mindless hate and violence”, Assem Gupta said.
“In memory of the struggles and sacrifices of our people, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in 2021 announced that all over India 14th August will be observed as “Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas” or “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day,” he added.
BJP national in charge of Programme, Narinder Singh (BJP national secretary) announced Aseem Gupta as convenor and Anju Dogra, and Neha Mahajan as co- convenors respectively.
Aseem Gupta, while addressing the meeting, said that soon convenors and co- convenors for the programme would be announced on district level. He said that there will be a silent march, public programme at district level. In addition, the Exhibition will be held. He said that BJP will remember this day forever and every year such programs will be organized.
