Pak again opens firing on LoC

JAMMU, Apr 5: Pakistani troops today again lobbed mortars and opened fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri.
“At about 2.40 pm, Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars and firing of small arms along the LoC in targeting forward defence posts and civilian areas in Nowshera sector,” official sources said.
The Indian Army effectively retaliated, sources said, adding exchange of shelling and firing continued for about two hours. However, there were no casualties or damage on the Indian side.
Yesterday also, Pakistani Army lobbed mortars and opened fire with small arms along the LoC in Degwar and Gulpur sectors of Poonch district, in which two civilians were injured.
