JAMMU, July 25: Pakistan Army again resorted to ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote and Mendhar sectors of Poonch district this afternoon targeting forward posts of the Indian Army.
Pakistan Army started heavy firing on the forward Indian Army posts in Balakote and Mendhar sectors at 4.50 pm today. Troops from this side retaliated.
Heavy exchange of firing between the two sides continued at 5.30 pm.
Army spokesman Col Manish Mehta said Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked small arms firing in Mendhar sector, which was responded effectively by the troops from this side.
There were no reports of any casualties or damage on the Indian side in the firing, official sources said.
