Pak Brig who masterminded Sunjwan attack shot dead

Jammu, June 18: A Pakistani Brigadier who was mastermind of February 2018 fidayeen attack in Sunjwan on the outskirts of Jammu has lost his life to unknown men.
Retired Brigadier Ameer Hamza of the Pakistani Army was shot dead by unknown assailants.

The incident occurred at the Lilla interchange in Pakistani Punjab’s Jhelum area. The attack occurred while Brigadier Hamza was traveling with his wife and daughter. Both women were injured in the attack.
Brigadier Hamza was a former DG Emergency Services Academy. Yesterday, he was traveling with his family when their vehicle was ambushed by unidentified gunmen. The attackers opened fire without any apparent motive or demand for belongings.
Brigadier Hamza’s name is infamously linked to the 2018 Sunjwan Army camp attack in Jammu. This brutal attack was orchestrated by the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists. It claimed the lives of five Indian Army personnel, including two JCOs, and injured ten others. Six women and children were also injured in the attack.
