Pak exposed before world for cancellation of NSA level talks: Nirmal Singh

KATHUA, Aug 23: Blaming Pakistan for cancellation of NSA level talks which were to be held in Union Capital today and tomorrow, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh said that by taking a rigid stand and keeping certain conditions for the talks Pakistan has been exposed before the international community.
Addressing a Party programme here, today held in connection with Deen Dayal Upadhaya Maha Prashikshan Abhiyan, Dr Singh alleged that Hurriyat was creation of Pakistan and it is dancing on the tune of Pakistani leadership. “This has been the main reason that Pakistan was adamant on meeting Hurriyat leaders during talks in Union Capital”, he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister said by turning down the Pakistan request India gave a wide and clear message that Hurriyat has no role in these talks and the issue to be discussed during the NSA meeting was cross border terrorism only. He made it clear that present BJP lead NDA Government at Centre will not make any compromise on national interests and allow Pakistan to dictate its terms.
He, while highlighting the achievements of Narendra Modi and State Government said that many welfare schemes for people have been launched by the two governments.
While making a reference to general amnesty scheme given to people consuming power for domestic and agriculture purposes, he said Rs 250crore benefit has been straightway given to these people under this scheme.
Dr Singh said the consumers can pay their bills up to March 31 next year in four equal installments. This was a big decision for both domestic and agriculture consumers of power taken by PDP-BJP coalition.
Besides, industry and other commercial organizations duty has been reduced from 22 percent to 10 percent, he said, adding this way they have been given a benefit of 12 percent on surcharge bills.
He said this decision can boost both trade and industry in the State as they will get a lot of relief in power tariff.
While highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union Government, he said Mr Modi is first Prime Minister of the country who got land allotted for a temple in Dubai and so far no Indian PM could do it.
He while highlighting the various schemes launched by the Union Government said Beti Bachao, Beti Padao, Make in India, Atal Pension Yojna, Pradan Mantri Bhima Suraksha Yojna, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc are the various innovative schemes launched by the Union Government for the welfare of the people.
Dr Singh, while allaying fears about the establishment of the separate AIIMS for Jammu cautioned them against those elements who are still misleading the masses in this regard. The decision has already been taken by Union Government and AIIMS will be established both in Jammu region as well as Kashmir Valley. The orders of acquisition of land have already been issued, he added.
Besides, AIIMS the establishment of IIT is another landmark decision of Modi led Government for the people of Jammu region he said, adding the land for the same has already been identified.
The inaugural session of the programme started with the address of Minister of Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga.
