Sir,
The Government of India should seriously take the matter of constant firing along the international border by Pakistani Rangers with the Government of Pakistan.
The border people have been living under the shadow of gun day in and day out and this has affected their day to day lives. The constant firing keeps them confined to trenches or homes, making it impossible for them to attend fields or tend their animals. Their life has become a hell as Pakistani guns roar whenever they desire. This uncertainty has also affected the schooling of their children as well. They can’t attend schools daily. Whenever they go to schools, parents and home remain very much worried about safety.
The Government of India should make it clear to Pakistan in unequivocal terms to stop this silly act or it may worsen the relations between the two countries that recently saw some sort of them. The problem of firing along the border should be taken up with at an earliest and made a pre condition for any future talks.
The border people have been bearing this brunt always for no fault of theirs. Don’t make them scapegoats.
Yours etc…
Hardeep Singh
