JAMMU, July 31: A Pakistani intruder was shot dead along the International Border (IB) in Arnia sector this morning.
“On the intervening nights of July 30-31, the vigilant BSF troops observed a suspicious movement across the IB in Arnia and an intruder was noticed approaching towards the fence,” a BSF spokesperson said.
He said the alert troops acted swiftly and neutralised the intruder, thereby thwarting the infiltration attempt.
Earlier on July 5, 2023, a Pakistani national, Zulfiqar Ali, son of Manroof Mohammad Mital of Kumb, Sind Province, was apprehended by alert BSF troops from Raipur Syedan area of Suchetgarh Tehsil in Jammu District. He was later handed over to Jammu and Kashmir Police.
