JAMMU, Feb 4: After lull of few days, the Pakistani Rangers again violated ceasefire and resorted to firing on forward Indian positions along the International Border (IB) in Samba and RS Pura sectors but there were no casualties or damage.
Official sources said the Rangers first opened firing with Heavy Machine Guns (HMGs) at Nawa Pind and Abdullian forward posts and villages in RS Pura sector at 1.55 pm today. The firing lasted few minutes.
Pakistan’s Thatti post opposite Nawa Pind was involved in the firing, they said.
Later, at about 2.25 pm, the Rangers opened firing with semi automatic weapons at Khora post in Samba sector. The firing lasted for a brief period only.
Sources said the BSF didn’t retaliate at both the places.
There were no reports of casualties or damage in the firing.
