JAMMU:
Pakistan today resorted to unprovoked firing while Indian Army retaliated on Line of Control in Poonch district.
“Pakistan this evening at around 1815 hrs resorted to unprovoked firing in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch by targetting our forward posts,” Defense Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta here said.
He said own troops responded effectively with similar calibre weapons while intermittent firing continued.
“No casualty or damage till now reported in exchange of fire,” he said. An Army jawan yesterday got killed after he was hit by a bullet from across the border in Balnoi area of Poonch. (AGENCIES)
