Pak shelling: Over 4000 migrants housed in 6 relief camps in Rajouri

JAMMU: Over 4000 people, who fled from areas near the Line of Control (LoC) due to five day long Pakistan shelling, have been housed in six different camps by authorities in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

There has been several instances of ceasefire violations by Pakistan troops since July 15 in which five people including four Army-men have been killed and eight others injured.

“More than 4000 persons have been housed in six camps in the Rajouri district,” Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said.

The district administration established a new relief camp the in wake of fresh migration triggered by repeated shelling in forward areas, he said. (AGENCIES)
