Pak shelling targeting civilians widely condemned

JAMMU, May 23:Various social and political organizations have expressed grave concern over the unprovoked firing from across the border targeting the civilian population and killing innocent people.
They, while blaming Pakistan for violating the international conventions of war urged the Union Government to take a stern action against enemy nation by teaching Pakistan a lesson once for all. The leaders of various organizations also visited hospitals to see the condition of injured people in border firing who have been admitted there for treatment.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma today visited Government Medical College Hospital to see the condition of injured people admitted there for treatment and facilities provided to them.
They met the firing victims along with Principal Medical College and team of doctors  and assured them that they will be provided the best treatment. They also inquired from the victims and their attendants about the facilities being provided to them. BJP leaders issued strict instructions to the hospital administration for the best health facilities to the patients.
Ravinder Raina , while interacting with the media persons outside  hospital said Pakistan has to face the hard consequences of its nefarious designs. He said Pakistan is a failed State being administered by the devils and it will perish soon.
Jugal Kishore Sharma lambasted Pakistan for the gruesome acts and said that neighboring  country is the biggest enemy of Islam and Muslims. Jugal also visited border villages in Samba district in the morning.
Expressing his grief and anguish  over the belligerency of  Pakistan targeting not only the Indian border posts but also the civil population causing large scale destruction  and bloodshed , the former Union Minister, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta said that this barbaric approach clearly indicates they have little regard for even holy days of Ramzan.
Prof Gupta in a statement issued here, today said that this also demonstrates Pakistan’s brutal response to the halt of New Delhi in anti militancy operations during these days.
Ex Minister, Ch. Lal Singh today in a series of tweets blamed those advocating ceasefire with terrorists and dialogue with Pakistan for bloodshed across Jammu region on the IB as well as Line of Control (LoC).
Ch Lal Singh, who conducted a whirlwind tour of the shelling hit villages on IB in twin districts of Samba and Kathua met with the families of those who have lost their kith and kin during the last fortnight. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Dr Rajinder Singh Tara and other officers.  He said violation of ceasefire by Pakistan is an eye opener for those who advocate for dialogue with Pakistan and ceasefire. “They still want to hold dialogue with a State whose only contribution to the whole world has been export of terrorism’’, he added.
Former Minister and general secretary,  PCC, Dr Manohar Lal  has shown his serious concern over the unprovoked heavy shelling and cross border which created a security threat to lives of common man and people living across the LoC and IB. They are feeling totally insecure  and there life has been completely destabilized due to heavy shelling from across, he added.
Continuing his extensive visit to shelling hit villages of Ramgarh Sector, which are under constant shelling from Pakistan, National Conference (NC), senior State vice president and former Minister, Surjit Singh Slathia interacted with dislocated border dwellers at a camp at Radha Swami Satsang Ashram, Thandi Khui in Vijaypur and listened their problems.
He expressed solidarity with the affected villagers and made a strong plea for making available all the facilities for them at various camps across the constituency and other vulnerable areas.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) J&K held  a meeting here, today under the chairmanship of Th Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president DSS in which several important and burning issues concerning Jammu particularly the intense bombardment by Pak troops along the border and consequent losses of human lives and sufferings of people living in the border belt were deliberated.
All the members of the Working Committee expressed grave concern over the firing assaults by Pak Army on the innocent civilians resulting loss of life and property.
Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Kangan, Mian Altaf Ahmed has expressed shock and grief over the continuous killing of civilians in cross firing along the LoC and International Border (IB) in J&K.
In a statement Altaf condemned the incidents of heavy shelling and firing along the LoC and IB that resulted into the loss of human lives.
He said the Central and State Governments have failed to take effective measures to stop the firing and provide relief to the affected people.
Stating that the deaths of jawans and civilians on the borders have become a regular feature ever since the NDA Government came to power at Centre, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), vice president and MLC , G N Monga today said that the Narendra Modi led Government has miserably failed to safeguard the lives of border residents.
Shri Ram Sena (SRS) also expressed its serious concern over the consistent ceasefire violations by Pakistan on LoC resulting in civilian casualties and injuries to cattle. It said panic has gripped in entire border belt in the wake of war like situation prevailing on borders.
Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu strongly condemned the continuous  incidents of cross border firing by Pakistan. The borders of Samba, Kathua , R S Pura and Bishnah are international borders and every responsible and civilized country must respect the IB but Pakistan which is harboring militancy has become a direct threat to world peace.
Former MLA and senior leader Sat Paul Lakhotra has also strongly condemned the shelling from across the border targeting civilians. In a statement issued here, today Lakhotra demanded that border people be shifted to safer camps to avert the loss of human lives and cattle. He demanded that adequate facilities be provided in these camps by the Government so that they don’t face any problem.
All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC),  president, Desh Rattan while strongly condemning the unprovoked shelling from across the border on IB has urged the Government to ensure full security and safety of border denizens who are always facing the threat from across.
He demanded that border people be immediately shifted to make shift camps and Pakistan be taught a lesson once for all.
