Pak smuggled heroin seized

POONCH, June 25: Mendhar Police seized Pak smuggled heroin near Dabbi village.
As per police sources, on information from reliable sources regarding movement of some drug peddlers along Line of Control (LoC), a police team headed by SHO Mendhar Inspector Manzoor Kohli under the close supervision of SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar launched search operation in the areas of Dabbi, Dhaarati and Basooni.
During search, police team seized around 1500 grams heroin worth several crores wrapped in three packets near Dabbi village on whom address of a shop situated in Lahore area of Pakistan was written.
After taking the material in custody all the legal formalities as per NDPS Act were done on the spot.
A case under FIR Number 137/2020 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS was registered at Police Station Mendher and investigation started.
The whole operation was monitored and supervised by Additional SP Poonch Khalid Amin and SSP Poonch Romesh Angral.
