Pak twice violates ceasefire on LoC

JAMMU, Jan 8: Pakistan army twice violated ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Hamirpur and Nowshera sectors of Poonch and Rajouri districts today in which an Army jawan was reportedly injured.
Reports said Pakistani troops opened firing in Hamirpur sector of Poonch in the wee hours of this morning causing injuries to an Army jawan, who was evacuated from the site and shifted to hospital.
Indian side retaliated effectively, leading to exchanges that continued for some time.
Today evening, Pakistan again violated ceasefire at Bhawani, Numb and surrounding villages in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district by resorting to firing, targeting forward posts and civilian areas.
However, no losses were reported in Pakistan firing in Nowshera sector.
Indian Army gave effective reply to the Pakistani firing, reports said.
