Pak UAV ‘conducts recce’ along Indo-Pak border

JAMMU, Jan 16:
An Unidentified Air Vehicle (UAV) ‘conducted recce’ along Indo-Pak International Border in three bordering districts of Jammu region.
“A Pak UAV was noticed last evening along the border in Kathua, Samba and Jammu belts,” a senior official here today said.
He said that the UAV was also noticed flying on the bordering belts along the international border by the locals and some of the BSF troops.
Though the UAV was flying 200 metres away from the IB but still covered Kathua, Samba, R S Pura and Akhnoor areas, said an official.
“Alert troops took positions but no incident of firing was reported from across the IB,” he added. Asserting that it is a matter of concern, a meeting was also held and UAVs movement was discussed. Meanwhile, the BSF and the other security agencies have already set high alert in the region in view of Republic Day celebrations.
