Pak again violates ceasefire

JAMMU, Feb 15: Pakistani Rangers violated ceasefire along the International Border for second consecutive day today, this time targeting Niki Tawi area in Makwal sector of RS Pura tehsil.
“They (Pakistani side) fired three rounds of small arms at around 11 am towards Tawi area in Makwal sector of R S Pura. However, BSF didn’t retaliate,’’ official sources said, adding that there were no casualties or damage on the Indian side in the Pakistan firing.
Pakistani Rangers have frequently been targeting the forward Indian positions in RS Pura and Arnia sectors. The BSF was taking adequate measures to tackle the Pakistani firing.
This was the second incident of ceasefire violation by the Pakistani side in the last 24 hours.
Pakistani Rangers had fired two to three mortar shells in Nawa Pindi border out post area along the IB in R S Pura sector of the district last night.
The shells exploded at an isolated areas and did not cause any casualty or injury to anyone on this side, sources said.
An infiltration bid was also foiled by the Army along the Line of Control in Poonch district yesterday in which one person was killed.
