JAMMU, Dec 13: In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistan fired unprovoked on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kirni sector of Poonch district in wee hours this morning.
“Pakistani Army at around 5.55 am, violated ceasefire in Kirni sector of Poonch district by resorting to firing on forward Indian positions and some civilian areas,” official sources said.
They said that light weapons and small arms were fired by the Pakistan while Indian Army effectively retaliated to the firing.
However, there were no reports of any casualties or damage on the Indian side.
Yesterday, Pakistan army had shelled civilian areas in Gulpur sector of Poonch district causing damage to some houses.
