Pak violates ceasefire in Poonch

JAMMU, May 27: Pakistan Army today violated ceasefire at forward post of Chakan-Da-Bagh on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.
Official sources said Pakistan Army opened firing at forward Army posts at the LoC in Chakan-Da-Bagh area at 7.10 am today.
The Indian side didn’t retaliate, they said.
Firing from Pakistan side stopped after about half an hour, sources said, adding that Pakistani troops fired 25 rounds of Pika and five rounds of RPG.
However, no infiltration attempt by the militants was observed during the firing, sources said, adding that troops were maintaining high alert and vigil all along the LoC in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch following reports that the militants could try to sneak into this side.
