SRINAGAR, June 14: Pakistan today violated ceasefire in Rampur sector of Uri in North Kashmir and Army gave a befitting response.
A Defence spokesman said that Pakistan violated ceasefire in Rampur sector of Uri today by targeting the posts with mortars. He said that Army gave befitting reply to the violations.
In the meantime, police said that on a credible input about presence of militants, Kulgam police along with 34 RR of Army and 18 batallion of CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the orchards between villages Nillow and Arrew in Kulgam today.
However, the militants managed to escape, taking advantage of the dense foliage of orchards but while fleeing they left behind their belongings including bedding, clothes, medicines and food items.
Police have registered a case and the recovered materials have been seized by the police and taken into records for the purpose of investigation.
