KATHUA, May 28: The villagers of Palli village 10 kms from here held a protest demonstration against the PHE Department for the water scarcity in the area.
The protestors, including male and female shouted slogans against the PHE Department saying that they were facing acute scarcity of drinking water for last three months and the concerned Department has failed to solve the problem despite the repeated pleas.
They said the water scarcity has taken ugly turn after the increase in temperature for last over one week. They warned the authorities that in case they failed to solve the drinking water problem the people will come to streets and intensify the agitation.
