Pandits will return on their own terms, conditions: SKS

JAMMU, Sept 7: Sampooran Kashmir SangthanĀ  (SKS) in its meeting at New Delhi today held under the chairmanship of Anoop Koul made it clear that Kashmiri Pandits will return to Valley on their own terms and conditions.
The meeting said that Pandits will not allow any division of Valley of Kashmir on the communal grounds as entire Kashmir belongs to them and they are its aborigines having a written history of over five thousand years.
The meeting said that hundreds of Pandits have laid down their lives for the integrity of the State with Indian Union and the sacrifices of these martyrs will not be allowed to go waste.
The meeting made it clear that Pandits are eagerly waiting for return to their motherland but conditions for the same are not conducive at this juncture.
The meeting was also addressed by national secretary of SKS Bharat Kachroo and Rakesh Kaul its president.
They demanded one time financial package against the losses suffered by community, mediclaim for all KP families, soft loans for traders and over aged youth, besides settling the other major demands.
While referring to Martyrs’ Day falling on September 14, SKS made an appeal to all community organizations to observe the day jointly to show their solidarity and support for the cause of community.
Others who attended the meeting included Rattan Lal Koul, Kuldeep Quango, Veer Ji Dullu, Kishori Lal Handoo, Rattan Lal Pandita, Raskin Bhat, Manoj Koul etc.
