JAMMU, Jan 20: To recommend formal revision or updation of the J&K Excise & Commercial Taxes Service Recruitment Rules, the Finance Department has accorded sanction for constitution of an internal committee, headed by Excise Commissioner J&K.
The committee shall comprise of representative of Administrative Department (of the rank of Special Secretary), representative of Commercial Taxes (Additional Secretary rank) and any other member, which the committee may co-opt.
The committee shall re-visit the method of recruitment to various category posts taking into account grievance, if any, of every class of Service and recommend necessary updation of Service Recruitment Rules (Gazetted/Non-Gazetted) for the Excise and Commercial Taxes.
Recommendations of the committee shall be submitted to the Administrative Department by February 28, 2015.
