KATHUA, Aug 5: ADDC Kathua Manmohan Singh, who is also Nodal Officer for My Village My World, constituted a committee headed by DC Excise toll Post Lakhanpur with District Panchyat Officer, CEO / EOs of Municipal councils/ committees, BDOs, representatives of commercial taxes, Pollution Control Board and Industries as members to check illegal import and seizure of polythene.
ADDC laid stress for ensuring coordinated efforts to make Kathua polythene free District. A roster for deployment of staff from Rural Development Department, Municipal Councils/ Committee and Pollution Control Board to assist the surprise checking/ seizure of polythene for Toll Post Lakhanpur was also constituted.
ACD, CEO MC, scientist pollution control Board, BDO Kathua, BDO Barnoti, and other officers were present in the meeting.
