NEW DELHI/JAMMU/ SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Describing the Panchayat Council election as a naked fraud on the electoral system by the Congress and National Conference leaders, particularly Ghulam Nabi Azad, Dr Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah by replacing and manipulating the EVMs in 60 block stations out of 66 in Jammu Pradesh, the Panthers Party today demanded immediate cancellation of Panchayat Council elections, a high power judicial inquiry into EVMs hacking and pinning responsibility for this criminal assault on electoral process by the Government and its officials without any delay.
“Results for four Council candidates from two Panchayat constituencies in J&K have shocked the conscience of 10 millions people of J&K when the Government announced that they have won all the four seats, each one having shown securing more than 50% of the total number of votes cast by the Panchs and the Sarpanchs on December 3, 2012”, the party leaders said.
In a statement issued jointly by Prof Bhim Singh, Harshdev Singh, MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA, Yashpaul Kundal, MLA and Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC, the Panthers Party leaders maintained that the Congress and National Conference leaders, replaced and manipulated the EVMs in 60 block stations out of 66 in Jammu Pradesh. The Assistant Returning Officers of Samba and Udhampur Districts refused to oblige the Chief Minister’s Office in this regard knowing the consequences of fraud, they added.
They alleged that huge money was given to the companies owned by the Congressmen to conduct Council polls through EVMs which could easily be hacked and manipulated.
The Panthers Party leaders called on the people of J&K to get ready for a final call to save democracy and rule of law in J&K in the interest of peace and national unity.
