Panthers protest against charging of fee at Toll Plaza

JAMMU, Mar 20: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held a protest demonstration against levying of fee at Toll Plaza, Bantalab in Nagrota by National Highway Authority of India.
The workers of JKNPP led by Surjeet Singh, senior leader of the party and Sarpanch Tikri Mand today assembled near Toll Plaza and held protest against NHAI and Government.
Condemning the Government move to burden the already burdened people of Jammu, Surjeet Singh said that the road to Udhampur has not been completed as yet but the Government has started charging toll from the people of Jammu region.
He said that people have not recovered from the shock of flood as yet and the economy based on pilgrimage tourism has been hit hard and the Government keeping in view the Navratra pilgrims to Katra and Amarnath Yatra have imposed Jazia on the Hindu pilgrims.
Singh alleged that a senior BJP Minister has got the share in the contract for Toll Plaza.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Raj Dev Singh, Sham Singh, Sohan SIngh, Rakesh, Rasjubir Singh and Bikram Badyal.
