AK Waza, senior activist of Panun Kashmir felicitated the dignitaries on the occasion. Dr Ieshan Bali presented the introductory address.
A memento portrait of Mata Vitasta was presented to the chief guest on the occasion. A documentary on Kashmir was also exhibited in the programme.
Ashwani Chrungoo in his presidential address said that the Kashmiri Hindus, who are the victims of terrorism in the valley of Kashmir, continue to live as refugees in their own country, now for the last twenty three years.
The ‘policy of rehabilitation of the ex-militants in J&K State’ is one more serious issue that the Indian nation has been put to face. The 1947 refugees in J&K have been virtually sidelined by this policy. We appeal to the people to rise to the occasion and respond appropriately to the situation.
Chakravarti Sulibele said that the Kashmiri Hindu community has faced the worst because of the follies of the Government. Besides being the victims of Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism, they have become the victims of the State too.
