Paramilitary working under specific Armed Forces Acts: Bhagat

JAMMU, Oct 27: Central Paramilitary Forces are central organizations working under the purview of a specific Armed Forces Acts and Rules as defined in Section 4 of the Act.
This was stated by KC Bhagat, president, All J&K Central Para Military Force Welfare Association, during executive body meeting at RS Pura.
He said that the news item “Police, Paramilitary Personnel are not martyrs”, has demoralized the troops and condemned the apathy of the Union Government towards CPMFs for not acknowledging the sacrifices of the CPMFs and extending the martyrs status to them till date.
The association urged the Central Government and the Home Ministry to take legitimate decision at their own without involving COS.
Among others present were Shamsher Singh, vice president, Darshan Kumar, general secretary, Dalip Singh, secretary, Kuldeep Singh, Netar Singh and Abdul Majid.
