Parents Asso meets DC, mourn demise of student

JAMMU, Feb 8: Parents Association of DPS School met District Development Commissioner Jammu and expressed their shock over the death of Surchi Singh a student of 7th class who was knocked to death by a School bus in side the school premises yesterday.
The Association informed the DDC that in their written complaint on December 27 last year to School management and again a reminder of which was given on January 15 this year for as using of obsolete and condemned buses for transportation of students.
They said in December last year a case of sudden break failure of a school bus full of students was witnessed after which no action was taken by the School management.
They said the carelessness and unresponsive attitude of school management towards the safety and security of kids has resulted in tragic and ultimately death of a student.
They made an appeal to Mrs and Mr Ajat Shatru Singh to hold a thorough probe and take action against the management who was responsible for the accident.
Earlier the Association held a condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Surchi Singh.
