Parents Association plea to Principal Secy Education

SRINAGAR, Apr 2: Parents Association of Kashmir Valley have made an appeal to Principal Secretary, Education that they be also made a party to the meeting being held with Private Schools Association Kashmir on April 4 on fixation of bus fare.
In a joint statement Association president, Khursheed Ahmed Kwaja and its senior member Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani said that the Government should not take any unilateral decision on hike in bus fare without taking the aspirations of parents of the children into consideration.
They said to reach a consensus on bus fare hike a Committee of Government led by Chairman Fee Regulation Committee and two representatives one each from Private Schools Association and Parents Association be also made its members. The meeting said that authorities should also invite the representatives of Parents Association in the meeting on April 4 and questioned that how the bus charges of two schools can have a huge difference for the same distance. This is a serious issue and needs to be looked into.
