SAMBA, Aug 29: The parents of the children staged a protest against the Vijaypur district administration for lack of facilities in the Government Middle School in Chhanni Manhasa, falling in the district.
The protestors said on the one hand, the Central Government and the State Government are promoting Government schools, but on the other hand there are no facilities in various government schools due to which children suffer. The facilities in the Chhanni Manhasa Government school are nominal for the children. There is neither seating facility nor toilet facility and grass is seen all around in the school due to which children are afraid of snakes and other insects. This has affected the children’s education also. The Government has to take care of the same and ensure complete facilities to the children.
The protestors said that children go to the school and when parents ask them in the evening what they had read they make excuses. Some children do not even know to sign, due to which there is a lot of anger among the parents. This forced the parents to hold a protest today to turn the attention of the administration towards the plight of the children.
