KATHUA, Aug 30: The parents of private schools children held a protest demonstration against the charging of exorbitant annual fee and Summer vacation fee by private schools by violating the order of District Magistrate issued under Section 144.
The numbers of parents assemble in front of DS Heritage School Kathua today and lodged protest against the school management. They raised the slogans against the school management and accused the management of harassing the students and their parents for not depositing the Summer vacation fee.
The parents also marched to DC Office complex with complaints to Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rohit Khajuria and apprised him about the violation of Section 144 by private schools. The women, while taking the school fee receipt in their hands raised voice against the DS Heritage School Kathua and some other schools charging the fee on higher rates. The Private Schools Parents Association also joined the protest against the private school management.
While addressing Anita Kumari, Neelam , Sunita Kumari, Karan Singh and Kartar Singh widely condemned the attitude of the management of private schools management.
They said that instead of Rs 1000 annual fee they are charging more than Rs 5000 and useless charges are imposed on students when they are not provided such facilities. They demanded return of excess fee charged by private schools.
