RAJOURI, May 21: The parents and relatives, held protest demanding registration of an FIR against in-laws as a young woman died under mysterious circumstances in Kalakote area last evening.
Official sources said that Seema, wife of Vinod Kumar, resident of village Sair near Kalakote, died at GMC Rajouri last evening. The husband and inlaws claimed that she died due to vomiting and loose motions.
Today at around 12:15 hrs her relatives from parents side came to her residence to attend last rites. They expressed that there is some foul play in her death and demanded post mortem of the deceased during arguments the relatives of deceased lady sat on dharna on Kalakote – Rajouri road near deceased house. The traffic on the road was suspended.
Meanwhile, police party reached on spot under the supervision of PSI Amit Redhy from Police Station Kalakote, pacified the protestors and shifted the dead body to CHC Kalakote for post mortem at 12:55 hrs. After postmortem dead body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites at around 14:30 hrs. In this regard Police initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC.
