KISHTWAR, Nov 1: Parihar brothers were remembered on their 2nd death anniversary, here today.
A Shradhanjali programme was organised in District Office of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was attended by representative from Sanatan Dharam Sabha, BJP and other organizations.
Large number of people also took part in the programme and paid tributes to the Parihar brothers.
Besides, 2 minutes silence was observed and all the participants pledged to work for unity and integration of nation for which Parihar brothers sacrificed their lives.
It is pertinent to mention here that BJP leader Anil Parihar and his elder brother Ajeet Parihar were martyred in terrorists attack on November 1, 2018, when they were heading towards their home after closing their shop in main town Kishtwar.
On the occasion, the speakers recalled the contribution of the Parihar brothers towards society. “Both brothers were down to earth persons and had served the society without any benefit”, they added.
In the evening, large number of youths amid slogans ‘Parihar Brothers Amar Rahe’ gathered at Hidyal Chowk and lit candles to pay homage to Parihar brothers.
