DODA, May 15: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar, today laid foundation stone of link road from Bhargran to Behota via Mangota under PMGSY.
The 22 km long road from Bhargran to Behota will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 15018.03 lacs under Phase X, Block Assar of Doda district.
After laying foundation stone of the road, the convened a public meeting along with ACD Doda Akther Qazi, District Panchayat Officer, Kewal Sharma, XEn REW, Sushil Sharma , XEn PMGSY, Bashir Khandy, BDO Marmat, Yasir Wani and ZEO Assar. Sarpanches, Panches, teachers, and prominent citizens were also present.
During interaction, general public raises various issues and demands. They demanded a Government Higher Secondary School for Behota, PHC for Mangota area and blacktopping of roads. Parihar gave a patient hearing to the demands of the people and directed the concerned officers to take adequate steps to mitigate the problems of the people. He also assured the people that their genuine demands and grievances will be redressed on priority.
