JAMMU, June 20: The 400th Parkash Parv of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur was celebrated with great religious fervour and enthusiasm at Gurdwara Yaadgar Sant Rocha Singh, Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Sector 14, Nanak Nagar, Jammu today.
The programme was organized by Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee under the supervision of Mahant Manjeet Singh, head priest, Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch.
A large number of devotees participated in the programme and sought blessings of great Guru who sacrificed his life for the humanity and the religion.
Hazoori Ragi Jathas of Bhai Tagjeet Singh Noor of Darbar Sahib ( Amritsar), Bhai Ranjeet Singh of Digiana Ashram, Bhai Dharamveer Singh of Gurdwara Sector 14, and Dhadi Jatha of Bhai Amrik Singh of Pathankote recited Shabd Kirtan on this special occasion.
Mahant Manjeet Singh while addressing large gathering threw light on the life and history of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji, who sacrificed his life for the cause of humanity and religion.
Dr Surjit Singh Raina, general secretary on behalf of Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee extended gratitude to Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji and other dignitaries present on the occasion. A community lunch was also arranged for the devotees.
