JAMMU, May 21: Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar was celebrated with much fan fare and joy at village Sukha Grand, Jammu.
In the function, Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj enthralled the audience with his sermons while Rakesh Wazir, president Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra and senior Congress leader, who was prominently present on the occasion, threw light on the life and teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji delivered religious sermons and threw light on the life and mission of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar. He appealed the people to follow the teachings of these great saints in order to make the nation strong and better place to live in.
While speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Wazir asked the people to follow the path of these great personalities by removing disparity among different sections of the society on the name of caste, creed, colour, religion etc and further said that this is the only way by which our country can progress and become good nation irrespective of hatred where humanitarian values be given first preference.
Mr Wazir further said that these types of functions play a major role in the community building, particularly when the people were forgetting the human values and the new generation was taking the bad paths and getting addicted with many bad habits which were not even prevalent till some time back.
The committee members, who organized this function, include Rattan Lal Thappa, Sarvan Kumar, Romesh Lal, Ashok Bassan, Ravi Kumar, Raj Kumar, Ashok Kumar Fauji, Puran Kumar and Master Ashok Kumar.
