SAMBA, Apr 1: The Parkash Utsav of Guru Ravi Dass Jee Maharaj was celebrated at Guru Ravi Dass Mandir, Badheri Samba with great religious fervour and gaiety under the aegis of 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj of Dera Swami Jagat Giri, Pathankot.
On the occasion, MLA Yash Pal Kundal was the chief guest and NC leader Satwant Kaur Dogra was guest of honour.
The celebrations started with Kirtan and devotional songs portraying the life and teachings of Guru Jee. Swami Guru Gurdeep Ji Maharaj threw light on the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass ji and termed him as one of the greatest Gurus of the world who enlightened the mankind with real knowledge and gave the message of peace and brotherhood. He said Guru Ji was a revolutionary spiritual saint and his admirers and followers are not only in India but abroad also.
Senior, NC Leader, Satwant Kaur Dogra greeted the people on the occasion and said that such auspicious occasions strengthen the bonds of love, brotherhood and communal harmony amongst the people of different faiths.
Earlier president Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Badheri, Daya Ram welcomed the guests and greeted people on the occasion.
Among those present on the celebration, included Kulwant Raj, Vijay Attri, Roop Lal, Praveen Kumar, Jai Pal, Prabh Dayal, Rakesh Kumar, Bhagwan, Dass, Tara Chand, Shamsher, Raj Pal, Preetam Chand and a large number of people from across the district.
