JAMMU, June 11: The Management Committee of Gurdwara Baba Chands Singh Ji Jain Bazaar in collaboration with Nirvair Social organization celebrated the parkash utsav of Shri Guru Hargobind by organizing an impressive Kirtan Darbar.
The people from all walks of life reached Gurdwara for listening the Kirtan and Gurbani Vichars.
Bhai Sahib Ranjeet Singh, Bhai Sahib Balwinder Singh and Bhai Sukhdev Singh recited the Kirtan and threw light on the life and teachings of Guru Hargobind.
While speaking on the occasion, Sukhbir Singh demanded to name the Kunjwani Chowk as Baba Banda Singh Bhahdur Chowk.
The speakers demanded construction of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Sikh Reference Library at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Chand Nagar, reconstruction of Historical Gurudwara Charan Kamal Asthan Guru Dev Ji Ser Manjila, extension of Gurdwara Mutan Sahib Kashmir, construction of Gurudwara Sahib Sidh Baghchi Bhaderwah, Government should declare the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Chand Nagar as historical place and put it on tourist map and Dera Baba Banda Singh Bahadur also be declare as historical place, shops of Municipal Committee in Chand Nagar falling in the precincts of Historical Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee be shifted to another alternate site, installation of statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at Kunjwani Chowk, implementation of Anand Marriage Act, etc.
Meanwhile, Parkash Utsav of Guru Hargobind was also celebrated at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Upper Bazaar, Gurdwara Sahib Lakhdata Bazaar and Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Chand Nagar Jammu.
Among others who were present were Jagbir Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Janmeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Jasmeet Singh, Shahbaz Singh, Raj Kumar and Comrade Sukhdev Singh, veteran leader.
Meanwhile, prakash utsav of Guru Hargobind was also celebrated at Gurdwara Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Tegh Bahadur Nagar, Omara Morh by Gurdwara Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, 137 battalion CRPF, SK Police Academy, army and people. Kirtan was performed by Ragi Kuldeep Kour Bhatya from Ludhiaian, Pahulpreet Kour Dutta, Ragi Jatha Bhai Satnam Singh, Ragiu Bhai Navjot Singh, Ujagar Singh Dutta, retd Tehsildar. A siropa was presented to CO 137 Battalion CRPF CL Mahapatra. SSP Randhir Singh, Deputy Commandant, Deputy Commandant Vijay Kumar, Ranjit Singh, Janak Singh Dutta, Sohan Lal and many others were present on the occasion.
