NEW DELHI, July 6: Members of Parliament including Deputy Speaker Lok Sabha Kariya Munda and BJP leader L K Advani paid floral tributes at the portrait of Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee in Parliament on his birth anniversary today.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and her counterpart in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley also attended the event among others.
The portrait of Dr Mookerjee was unveiled by then President R Venkataraman in the Central Hall of Parliament House on May 31, 1991 in recognition of his outstanding services to the nation. (UNI)
